Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said progress is not possible without labour and prosperity cannot take place without respecting workers.
Prime Minister Oli said this through social media expressing happiness over the increase in minimum wages of workers with effect from July 1. “Earlier, we had taken steps to secure the future of workers by implementing contribution-based social security programmes. About 2.1 million workers have joined so far,” he wrote on Facebook.
Informing that it has been decided to increase the minimum wage of workers from Rs 17,300 to Rs 19,550 per month with effect from July 1, PM Oli said, “A handful of trust for workers will be important. Jai Shramik, Jai Nepal!”
