Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has reached out to the Department of Money Laundering from the CIAA demanding an investigation into corruption. Rpp has approached the Department of Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and Money Laundering Investigation demanding investigation into all kinds of corruption and assets of high-ranking personalities.

“Corruption is spreading as an epidemic in Nepal. “Even according to the commission’s annual report, the number of corruption complaints, the number of cases and the claim amount are increasing. The RPP believes that there seems to be a competition for corruption between the central and local levels. Where is corruption? The RPP has said that a situation has been created to find out where it is not.

Similarly, in recent times, the facts of the involvement of government ministers in corruption are being made public one after the other and it seems that the ministers are competing to earn faster and more. “Moreover, the chief commissioner’s statement that the deal of corruption money is done abroad also shows the level and prevalence of corruption in Nepal. “It is a matter of shame for all Nepalis that Nepal has been listed as a corrupt country by transparency international’s reports at different times. ’

Rpp believes that although the CIAA has been carrying out a lot of investigation and registration of cases by the Commission in the recent past, the political leadership is out of the purview of investigation in big corruption scandals such as Sudan scam, Lalita Niwas, widebody, cantonment, omni, Ncell and other big corruption scandals.

The RPP has demanded that such scandals of the Commission should be viewed seriously, saying it has not been seen in fairness and effectiveness. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) believes that without the protection and involvement of the political leadership, such big corruption cannot be believed only through the bureaucracy and only small actions cannot improve service delivery, good governance and corruption unless the political sector, the main root and umbrella of corruption, is brought under the purview of investigation and action. Rpp said in a statement.

Similarly, fake Bhutanese refugees of the time, cooperative fraud, unprecedented price hike in construction materials including rod cement, current visit visa and audio scandal of ministers have defamed Nepal in the world community. Similarly, the party’s attention has been drawn to the delay and indifference in investigating and taking action in the famous and big corruption scandals including Pokhara Regional International Airport, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Manipal Medical College, Chinese aircraft purchase scandal, misuse of billions of agricultural grants.
