Nawalparasi. Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has said that all the amount to be paid for health insurance would be paid within the month of August.

Inaugurating deurali primary hospital at Hupsekot rural municipality-4, Jindibas of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) today, he said the remaining payment of insurance would be completed in two installments.

Urging the government to invest the money received in this way in the expansion of health services, Minister Poudel said, “I would like to request you to spend some percent of the amount received by the hospitals as insurance for the expansion of health services.” Even if 30-40 percent of the insurance money is received now, it would be better to spend on the expansion of health services. ’

Minister Poudel said that the attraction for treatment has increased due to the increase in the confidence of the citizens in the government hospitals in the recent past. He said that the government’s goal is to make the primary level hospitals in all the municipalities service-equipped as limited resources could not withstand the pressure of all the patients.

Stating that 48 hospitals across the country have started their services from new buildings from July 1, Minister Poudel said the state and federal governments would provide resources to these hospitals to be operated under the leadership of the local government. He said that the state has provided one-time discount facility to the citizens in the treatment of various complex diseases.

“If the health services are not improved, the citizens will not feel that the republic has come in the country,” he said, adding, “The government is committed to provide health services at the lowest cost by involving all the citizens in the health insurance.” ’

The five-bed Deurali Primary Hospital at Hupsekot Rural Municipality-4, Jalibas, has started its service from today.
