Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to print new Rs 50 notes

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is going to print new notes of Rs 50 denomination. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited a global tender for printing new currency notes.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited international bids for printing 420 million pieces of new currency notes. TAG_OPEN_div_10 Pre-qualified international security printing companies have been invited to participate in the bid published through the Currency Management Department of the Rastra Bank.

The Rastra Bank has taken this process forward under the one step two envelope system. Accordingly, bidders will have to submit the technical proposal and the price proposal separately in a closed envelope.

Nepal Rastra Bank TAG_OPEN_div_6 (NRB) has said that the demand for Rs 50 notes is high in the country at present and the process of printing new notes has been initiated to replace the old notes.
