42,500 people and organizations blacklisted in one year, highest cheque bounce

Kathmandu. The number of blacklisted people has increased significantly. According to the Credit Information Center, the number of blacklisted people has reached 42,303 in the last fiscal year.

According to the Centre TAG_OPEN_div_28, 12,821 people have been blacklisted for non-payment of loans and misuse of loans in a year. Similarly, the number of companies and individuals blacklisted due to cheque bounce is 29,482, according to Bijay Kunwar, spokesperson of the Credit Information Center. According to Kunwar, the highest number of cheque bounce cases have increased in the last fiscal year.

Center, some blacklisted individuals and organizations have been removed from the blacklist. As many as 38,825 individuals and institutions have been blacklisted by commercial banks and other financial institutions in a year. Similarly, 5,520 individuals and institutions have been blacklisted in the microfinance sector.

Any installment of the principal or principal of the loan or interest is more than one year from the date of payment, there is a provision to blacklist. Similarly, if it is proved that they have misused the loans and facilities taken from banks and financial institutions, then such people will also be blacklisted.  There is a provision that such a person will be blacklisted even if a case is filed against the borrower of the bank and financial institution in the court. According to this provision, the number of blacklisted people has reached 12,821.

If a cheque of any amount is issued without sufficient reserves in his account and if the cheque is returned, then the check and account of such person will be blacklisted. In this way, the account holder can be blacklisted if the account holder does not make arrangements for the payment of the cheque even after closing the account without paying the amount of the cheque issued by him and informing the bank later.

If TAG_OPEN_div_18 the cheque is not paid by wrongly signing the check and the bank does not give the correct signature even after informing the bank, the account holder can be blacklisted.
