Bagmati. The judicial committee formed in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has disposed of 143 complaints in a year. The committee formed under the coordination of Deputy Mayor rajesh Baniya has set aside the case based on the principle of reconciliation.

Section 46 of the Local Government Operation Act, 2074 BS provides for a judicial committee at the local level to resolve disputes at the local level through reconciliation.

Deputy Mayor Baniya said that out of 291 complaints, 143 were disposed of in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, including 247 newly registered complaints and 44 old ones. The committee has recommended that 45 complaints should be disposed of by the courts, nine have been sent to other judicial bodies, 20 complaints have become inactive and 12 petitions have been withdrawn.

A judicial committee has been formed in the sub-metropolis since the fiscal year 2074/75 BS. Of the 1,254 complaints registered since then, 743 have been disposed of.
