Kathmandu. In the Karnali Development Bank case, the then Chief Financial Officer Bed Prakash Singh Thakuri has admitted that he helped UML leader and then Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karnali Development Bank Pashupati Dayal Mishra to embezzle money by setting up a fake company.

The bank’s then Chief Financial Officer Bed Prakash Singh Thakuri told the court that mishra’s allegations of misappropriation of gold loans were not true. Similarly, Mishra had set up several fake companies to take money in his name and misappropriated the bank’s money from the company, he said in the statement.

“Pashupati Dayal Mishra used the loan disbursed in the name of Banke Samriddhi Agro Pvt Ltd. Pashupati Dayal Mishra registered Banke Samriddhi Agro in the name of Ram Karan Mishra and accepted a loan from Karnali Development Bank Limited in the name of Banke Samriddhi Agro Pvt Ltd. He said in a statement.
