Washington, D.C. The Embassy of Nepal has organized a mobile camp in Columbus, Ohio, with the aim of providing various services. According to the Embassy in DC, around 400 service seekers took service in the mobile camp organized on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The camp was organized in coordination with Dr Damodar Poudel, Honorary Consul General for Ohio State, with the participation of the local Non-Resident Association.
Poudel said it was important for the Embassy team to come and serve the service seekers as it was expensive due to time and resources to reach the Embassy in DC for services including passport renewal for nepalis living here. A technical team led by Yugraj Pandey, Economic Consul of the Embassy in DC, served at the camp.
Similarly, camps of the same nature were held in Kentucky state on Sunday and Monday. For the last few years, the Embassy has been conducting camps in the state where the population density of Nepalis is high.
