Bhaktapur. Bagmati Province has been declared fully vaccinated in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

At a special programme organized by the Ministry of Health of Bagmati Province in Bhaktapur today, Prime Minister Oli made the announcement after ensuring that children of 13 districts and 119 municipalities are fully vaccinated within the age of 15 months.

Bagmati Province has achieved such success on the basis of the certificate received from the National Full Immunization Coordination Committee of the Ministry of Health and Population under the federal government.

On the occasion, PM Oli handed over the certificate of vaccination committee to State Health Minister Kiran Thapa. On the occasion, PM Oli also inaugurated the ‘Digital Health’ programme in the health sector.

Prime Minister Oli congratulated the state government for declaring full vaccination and said the ‘Healthy Nepal’ campaign has been launched to achieve the national goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’. He stressed on the need to work with a view that people as well as animals and plants are healthy in Nepal and the cities and villages should remain clean.

“There may be disease, but we have to try to close the causes and pathways of the disease. One way out is vaccination. I am happy that this campaign is becoming successful,” pm Oli said, adding, “Our constitution has included health services as a fundamental right.” The vaccination drive has been fruitful towards achieving this right. In 2083 BS, we are being upgraded to a developing country. This campaign has proved to be important for that as well. We should now motivate other states to carry out such campaigns. ’

Prime Minister Oli felicitated the best employees and women community health volunteers during the vaccination drive. Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama said the vaccination drive has been successful due to the continuous deployment of the health sector.
