Home Minister Lekhak directs CIB to probe Nirmala murder case

Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has directed the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Police to initiate a serious investigation into the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta of Bhimdutta Municipality in Kanchanpur.

During TAG_OPEN_div_26 an inspection of the CIB office today, Minister Lekhak directed to investigate the Nirmala Pant case in a subtle manner and bring the culprits to justice.

TAG_OPEN_div_24 “I urge you to speed up the investigation of all the complex cases being investigated by the Bureau including the murder of Nirmala Panta,” he said, adding, “The trust of the general public in the CIB has increased within the Nepal Police as well. ’

Minister Lekhak expressed happiness over the success achieved by CIB in its performance in the police force amid limited resources and said that the Ministry was serious about making CIB resourceful. TAG_OPEN_div_22 Stating that the incidents of financial crimes have increased in the country in the recent past, he said that he has formed the Financial Crime Investigation Division to control financial crimes.

“TAG_OPEN_div_20 There has been a demand for police stations from all over the country due to the increasing trust in the police,” he said, adding, “The budget has been allocated comparatively more in the current fiscal year than in the past to make the police more equipped.” ’

On the occasion TAG_OPEN_div_16, Senior Superintendent of Police of CIB Hobindra Bogati made a presentation on the work being done by CIB, action, success and challenges in performance.

Senior Superintendent of TAG_OPEN_div_14 Police Bogati informed that the CIB is investigating the Nirmala Pantmurder case as well as other cases. Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa, Additional Inspector General of Police Chandrakuwer Khapung and other police officials were present on the occasion.
