Kathmandu. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office has blacklisted 11 construction companies, including Shillong Construction, for not working on time. Issuing a notice on Monday, the office said that these companies have been blacklisted on the basis of recommendations sent by various agencies.

Rakhi Construction of Kanchanpur, Jaljala Multi Business Construction of Rolpa, Shivam Construction of Nepalgunj, Jagadamba Construction of Kathmandu, Quality Indrawati Construction, Saptakoshi Watershed Construction Company, Ashiv Nirman Sewa, Shillong Construction of Lalitpur, Amar Harka Deepak Construction of Rukum and Sadashiv Construction of Bardiya have been blacklisted. Indian company Aravali Infrapower Limited is also involved in the action.

Shillong and Aravali, who were recommended for action by the Road Infrastructure and Development Project Directorate of the Department of Roads, have been blacklisted for two years. Saptakosi and Sadashiv have been blacklisted for one-and-a-half years. Other companies have been blacklisted for a period of one year.
