Kathmandu. On the third trading day of the week, the stock market fell by double digits on Tuesday. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 41.78 points to 2833.57 points. Similarly, the sensex fell 6.51 points today. On the other hand, the float index fell 2.77 points and the sensitive float index fell 2.26 points.
Similarly, the transaction amount has also decreased today. On Monday, shares worth Rs 11 billion were traded in the market, while the market traded at Rs 9.33 billion. Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the index of two sub-groups has increased. The index of the remaining 11 sub-groups has decreased.
Shares of two companies traded at positive circuit levels on Tuesday. Shares of Samaj Laghubitta Financial Institution and Unnati Sahyog Laghubitta Financial Institution were traded at positive circuit level on this day. The share price of Bin Nepal Laghubitta Financial Institution has increased by more than 4.5 percent on Tuesday. The share price of Three Star Hydropower has fallen the most by 10 percent during the day.
Himalayan Re Insurance is at the top position in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 392.8 million of the company were traded on this day. Similarly, shares worth more than Rs 370 million were traded. Shivam Cements’ turnover has crossed Rs 330 million.
