Kathmandu. The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested two foreign nationals with 7 kg 800 grams of white heroin. Firoz Ahmed, 35, of Jainpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, and Mauleshwar Nanjundamurthy Quranal Bhel, 32, of Irad, Talimnadu, India, who came to Kathmandu from Laos via Bangkok, were arrested today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jeevan Niraula, who is also the joint spokesperson of the Bureau, informed that Ahmed was arrested on August 17 and Bhel on August 15. Police have recovered 7 kg 800 grams of white heroin from them.
Joint Spokesperson Niraula said that action has been taken against both the arrested as per the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033 BS. They have been remanded to judicial custody by the Kathmandu District Court for further investigation.
