Kathmandu. Private school operators have demanded the removal of the phrase ‘private schools will be gradually made non-profit’ from the School Education Bill.

Pabson, NPABSON, National PABSON and Hissan jointly organized a press conference today and demanded the removal of this provision from the School Teachers Bill.

PABSON General Secretary RB Katuwal said, “The provision in the bill to gradually make private-funded schools non-profit is against the legal provision made by the government in 2058 BS to allow them to operate as per the Company Act.” He claimed that the bill was against the spirit and spirit of the company law that full scholarship tuition fees, examination fees, textbooks and educational materials, clothing, transportation and other services should be provided.

They have also informed that if their demands are not addressed by August 15, they will launch an agitation from August 15.
