Ramechhap. Radha Karki Chauhan, 40, died on the spot when a pick-up Scorpio (Ba 13 Cha 3935) en route to Hetauda from Manthali of Ramechhap met with an accident at Bokse Paharo of Manthali Municipality-6. She is said to be a health worker of Manthali Municipality.

Her husband Uttam Chauhan, 45, was injured in the incident. The injured have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment after initial treatment at Manthali Community Hospital, said Police Inspector Kaushal Neupane of the District Police Office.

According to him, the vehicle fell about 100 meters down the road and reached the banks of the Tamakoshi River. Radha, who is also the in-charge of Urban Health Centre Badimuhan at Manthali-7, and Uttam, who works at the Electricity Authority Manthali branch, are going to Hetauda this morning to meet their son, who is studying in Hetauda.
