Lalitpur. Prime Minister and CPN(UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the party-affiliated establishments and foundations should focus on the party’s movement and overall interests and not on personal interests.

Addressing the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Chairman of Madan-Ashrit Memorial Foundation Pradeep Kumar Gyawali here today, Chairman Oli, who is also the chief patron of the foundation, made it clear that the establishments and institutions opened in honor of the established leaders and associated with the party should not be a cheating vessel.

“The Madan-Ashrit Memorial Foundation was opened by the party’s decision on May 20, 2050 to advance the ideology of people’s plural democracy in the hour of mourning after the death of the then general secretary Madan Kumar Bhandari and the then organization department chief Jivraj Ashrit,” he said. Now the foundation’s activities and its leadership have stopped showing loyalty to the movement. Such institutions should be loyal to the party. It should not be used against the interests of the party. ’

He urged the new leadership of the Academy to work for social studies, development of quality, integrity and knowledge as well as to increase human consciousness and discipline. Deputy General Secretary Gyawali was elected chairman of the Foundation at the 31st General Assembly of the Academy on August 12 following the death of pradeep Nepal, the then chairman of the foundation on May 14.
