A meeting of TAG_OPEN_div_20 the Council of Ministers of the Gandaki state government held today took the decision with the aim of making the administrative structure economical along with cutting the existing expenditure of the province, chief minister Surendra Raj Pandey said at a press conference here today.
Seven directorates and two centres abolished in Gandaki province, 185 staff posts reduced
Stating that the works and services being provided by the defunct directorates with the decision of
Chief Minister Pandey informed TAG_OPEN_div_16 that it has been decided to merge 32 different district-level bodies into 17. The directorates that will be abolished are the Directorate of Protection of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Interest, Directorate of Agricultural Development, Directorate of Livestock and Fisheries Development, Directorate of Infrastructure Development, Forest Directorate, Directorate of Education Development and Provincial Health Directorate.
