Baglung. The Kaligandaki Corridor, a project of national pride, has again been blocked. Baglung: A massive landslide at Kalakhola of Baglung municipality-13 has obstructed the corridor due to heavy rainfall. The road, which was blocked five days ago, came into operation on Tuesday afternoon.

According to District Police Office, Baglung Police Inspector Keshav Thapa, the corridor has come to a standstill due to landslide at 9:00 am this morning. Due to the road blockade, direct traffic has been cut off from South Baglung.

Police Inspector Thapa said efforts were made to open the blocked road but could not open it as it was still raining. According to him, vehicles from Baglung to Butwal, Palpa, Bhairahawa and other places have also come to a standstill due to the road blockade.

Police Inspector Thapa said, “A big landslide is taking place in Kalakhola area, we had opened the landslide that occurred five days ago only yesterday, today the road has been obstructed due to a big landslide.” ’
