Case filed against Yadav in special court for amassing huge wealth

Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Sachindra Kumar Yadav of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Department of Tourism, Bhrikutimandap. The Commission had examined Yadav’s appointment in the government service from June 24, 2009 to August 15, 2019.

Yadav earned a total of Rs 26,818,900 in the same period. Yadav was found to have spent and invested Rs 36.5 million during the period. The commission has found that the source of the amount of Rs 9,685,553 has not been revealed.

The Commission has alleged that he has amassed wealth illegally by misusing his official position and living an abnormally high standard of living. It has also been found that the illegally acquired property was kept in the name of his wife Asha Kumari Yadav.

Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel said that the COMMISSION has filed a case with the Special Court naming Yadav and his wife Asha Kumari as defendants.
