Kathmandu. Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC) has said that 1.523 million sacks of chemical fertilizers have already been received at Kolkata port in India and the process of bringing these fertilizers to the Godam of the Corporation in Nepal is going on in full swing.
The corporation had recently imported a total of 1.523 million sacks of chemical fertilisers, including 440,000 bags of urea and 183,000 bags of DAP. The corporation has already written to the state government for the distribution of the fertilizer quota coming to Godam and the corporation has received information that the quota has already been distributed to the municipality by the state governments.
Regarding the latest status of chemical fertilizers, the corporation said in a statement on Friday that all the dealers registered as fertilizer sellers of the corporation are requested to distribute fertilizers according to the quota in coordination with their municipalities and the respective offices of the corporation. ’
The corporation has also drawn its attention to the news and posts being made in various media and social media about the shortage of chemical fertilizers in the market at present.
