Kathmandu, July 13: Thirty-five Nepali nationals have fallen ill and are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kuwait after consuming alcohol containing pesticides a few days ago.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Kewat, 35 Nepali nationals have been admitted to the hospital in the tragic incident. The Embassy has also received information about the death of some of them, while some are undergoing treatment in critical condition. Some patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in normal condition, the embassy said in a statement today.
As soon as the information was received about the matter, the ambassador and other staff from the embassy visited various hospitals and took information about the condition of Nepali patients. In this regard, the Embassy is in constant contact with the concerned hospital and the officials of the Ministry of Health of Kuwait and is continuously coordinating for the proper treatment of the patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.
