Kathmandu. The monsoon has weakened slightly in Nepal as the monsoon trough is located in the southern part of the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, water vapour-rich air is entering from the Bay of Bengal.

According to the Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the tarai and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces and at a few places of the rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes and SudurPaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the country tonight. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly and terai regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Sudur Paschim provinces and at one or two places of the Tarai region. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the Tarai and hilly regions of Koshi Province.
