Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against Purna Shankar Yadav, a senior forest officer at the Division Forest Office, Kailali.

A team from the Commission’s Office, Kanchanpur had arrested Yadav with the bribe on the basis of a complaint and information that he had demanded bribe from the service seekers for the release and release of timber from the Ghatgaddi of Gwasi Community Forest at Chure Rural Municipality-6 in Kailali. CIAA spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel said Yadav was arrested after he took a bribe of Rs 731,000 from a customer.

Yadav has been sentenced to imprisonment under the Prevention of Corruption Act÷ 2059 BS and charge sheet has been filed at the special court as it has been established that he had taken bribe and bribe in course of the investigation, he said.
