Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the influence of monsoon winds has increased from the Bay of Bengal, stating that the low pressure line of the monsoon is currently located around the normal place.
It will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and SudurPaschim provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the country this afternoon. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudur Pashchim provinces and at one or two places of Karnali province.
Similarly, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. There will be moderate rainfall at many places of the hilly region of the country. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of gandaki, Karnali and Sudur paschim provinces and at one or two places of Lumbini and Koshi provinces.
The Division has urged all to remain alert and make preparations, predicting that there is a risk of landslides and debris flow of rain, the water level in big and small rivers and rivulets may rise and the transport sector may be affected.
