Kathmandu. Police have arrested Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSSP) leader Araniko Pandey.
Pandey was arrested by the Cyber Bureau on Wednesday for allegedly abusing and abusing a woman through social media.
Cyber Bureau spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police Deepak Raj Awasthi, said a woman had lodged a complaint against Pandey for using abusive language on social media. Based on the complaint, the District Court, Kathmandu issued an arrest warrant on Wednesday.
According to the police, Pandey himself appeared before the Cyber Bureau on Wednesday evening after a complaint was registered and an arrest warrant was issued. The bureau is preparing to present it in the court on Wednesday for an extension, but due to lack of time, it will be presented only on Thursday.
He was appointed a member of the National Planning Commission in 2080 BS when he joined the RSVP government.
