Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against eight persons, including the acting chief administrative officer of Bheri municipality of Jajarkot, and a construction company at the Special Court today on charges of financial irregularities in the construction of the ward office building.
Acting Chief Administrative Officer Dal Bahadur Gharti, Engineer Mohan Malla, Law Officer Prakash Kumar Shahi, Social Development Officer Anis Sah, Accountant Rajendra Bahadur Kathayat and Jinsi Section Chief Kriti Bahadur Thapa have been accused of irregularities in the construction of ward office buildings of ward no. 6, 9 and 10 in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. The Commission has claimed a huge demand of Rs 3,620,578 against them.
The Commission has demanded equal damages from New BK÷Nahkuli JV and its directors Ganga Kumari Khadka and Chitra Bahadur Bohora for their activities against the public procurement law.
