Siraha. The Armed Police Force (APF) has seized an Indian Scorpio vehicle with customs-evaded goods at Chharapatti Chowk in Lahan Municipality-19.

A mobile team led by Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Bijay Kumar Chaudhary from The Armed Police Force Nepal Security Base Camp, Lahan, tried to stop a white-coloured Indian Scorpio vehicle (BR 01 PB 4642) while checking the vehicle on the Thadi-Lahan internal road section at around 8:00 pm on Thursday.

The vehicle was found abandoned on the roadside near Kataha Chowk of Lahan-19. The driver is absconding. During the inspection of the vehicle, various clothes worth Rs 704,850 were found. The price of the Scorpio is said to be around Rs 1.5 million. Chief of Armed Police Force No. 7 Battalion, Superintendent of Police Naresh Bhandari, said that the process of handing over the seized vehicles and clothes to the Customs Office has been forwarded.
