Gulmi. Floods and landslides have blocked the Kaligandaki corridor and the Ridi-Wamitaksar road section. According to the District Police Office, kaligandaki corridor road has been completely blocked since this morning due to landslide at Rakse of Kaligandaki rural municipality-2.

Similarly, the Ridi-Wamitaksar road section of Gulmi has also been obstructed since this morning due to floods. Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Bhupendra Thapa, told RSS that the road has also been completely blocked due to the flood of Dahare rivulet of Satyawati rural municipality-6. Both the roads, blocked due to incessant rains, were opened one-way on Thursday evening.

He said that the road could not be operated as the rain was continuing in the area and the landslide from above the road had not stopped. Security personnel have been mobilized with necessary equipment to open the road.
