Beijing. Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for Home today after concluding his official visit to the People’s Republic of China. He left for China on September 12 at the friendly invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Chinese high officials, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal and Nepali Ambassador to China among others saw pm Oli off at the International Airport in Beijing. Prime Minister Oli had left for Tianjin, China on September 29 leading a 23-member Nepali delegation to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. He also participated in a special military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory celebration held in Beijing today.
During the visit, Pm Oli held separate meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders. He was addressing the summit held in Tianjin on September 14. Nepal has been the organization’s dialogue partner since 2016.
Pm Oli is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Panta, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Nepali Congress lawmaker Purna Bahadur Khadka, Pm’s Economic and Development Advisor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, Nepal Communist Party (UML) lawmaker Chhabilal Bishwakarma and other high-level government officials.
