Baglu. Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road, a national priority project, has come into operation after three days. The road has come into operation from today after the landslide from above the road was cleared after two days of continuous efforts.

A landslide occurred at Dharabot of Dhorpatan municipality-7 on Monday evening due to heavy rainfall. Hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists travelling to Dhorpatan Reserve had to suffer due to the road blockade.

Deputy Mayor of Dhorpatan Municipality, Dhan Bahadur Kait, said that the tourists are heading towards the destination after the road came into operation from today. It took three days to open the road as there was a huge landslide in the section, he said. Apart from this, locals are facing problems in commuting due to lack of alternative roads, he said.

Meanwhile, the municipality and police have urged the tourists coming to Dhorpatan to travel only after understanding the weather and the condition of the road. Deputy Mayor Kait said, “It has taken time to clear the landslide as it is raining continuously and the landslide is also big.

Now we have brought the road into operation by removing the normal landslide and allowing the movement of vehicles. It seems that it will take time to remove all the landslides. Now we have brought the vehicles into operation so that tourists and locals do not face problems. ’
