Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Poudel has said the government should give priority to the conservation and development of ancient and historical heritage, art, culture and heritage that make Nepal known to the world.
Inaugurating a painting exhibition as part of The Nepal Art and Culture Festival-2082 organized by The Nepal Art Council here today, he said all should be active in the development, expansion and preservation of our language, art and culture by utilizing the opportunities available in the democratic system of governance.
President Poudel said, “In a democratic system of governance, there is equal opportunity for the advancement and progress of all sectors, classes and professions. This is the beautiful aspect of democracy. Therefore, everyone should be active in the development, expansion and preservation of our language, art and culture by utilizing the opportunities available. ’
Stating that millions of tourists come to Nepal every year to study, research and observe the ancient and historical heritages, art, cultural heritages and activities of different parts of the country, he said the heritage lovers should always be vigilant for its conservation.
President Poudel opined that the arrival of tourists would contribute to the prosperity of the country if wide publicity could be given at home and abroad to attract the attention of domestic, foreign tourists and entrepreneurs towards the unique capital of Nepali art, culture and heritage.
Stating that Nepal’s art and cultural heritage has a reputation all over the world, he said it was a matter of pride that art and culture, which are an indicator of Nepali civilization, have been able to occupy a special place in the world.
President Poudel said nepali language, art, culture and heritage are our pride, identity and splendor. “It is the responsibility of all of us, including the government and private institutions, to preserve, promote and promote centuries-old art, culture and heritage. In this context, I am happy to inaugurate this festival organized with the participation of private, government and people at the initiative of Nepal Art Council. ’
President Poudel expressed the belief that the cooperation of all would lay the foundation for the sustainable development of the country’s tourism sector.
