Kathmandu. The government has summoned a meeting of the Council of Ministers for this evening.

The meeting is likely to discuss the issue of reopening the social networks that have been shut down by the government. Today, 14 people have died and more than 150 people have been injured in the protests organized by Zinji. Zenji had shut down the movement’s main social network.

Minister for Communications and Communications Prithvi Subba Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the government, has indicated that discussions are underway in the Ministry to reconsider the decision to ban social media. He said that no decision has been taken to take such proposal to the Council of Ministers, but discussions are underway. He said that the cabinet meeting today will take some decision on this issue. He gave this information in a conversation with BBC News Nepali.
