Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Sixteen of the 17 people who were shot dead by security personnel at Baneshwor Chowk in Kathmandu on Monday have been identified.
Those who were shot dead during the protest in Kathmandu on Monday died after being taken to various hospitals in Kathmandu. All the deceased were killed in the firing incident at Baneshwor Chowk. Of the 17 people, eight died at the Trauma Center in Kathmandu.
The deceased have been identified as Buddha Bahadur Tamang, 41, of Kirtipur, Santosh BK, 29, of Belka-4, Udayapur, Sulabh Das Shrestha, 25, of Banke, Saim Chaulagain, 19, of Banasthali, Kathmandu, Ishwor Adhikari, 26, of Banasthali, Kathmandu, Aayush Thapa, 29, Gaurav Joshi, 27, of Sindhupalchowk and Yogesh Shrestha, 21, of Barhabise-6, Sindhupalchowk.
Likewise, Nischal Saru Magar, 18, of Arghakhanchi, Bimal Bhatta, 22, of Barpak Sulikot-5, Gorkha and another youth whose name and address are unknown have died at Civil Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Saurav Kishor Shrestha, 30, of Banasthali, and Sushan Bohara, 23, of Bajhang and Kirtipur. Similarly, 23-year-old Rashid Khatiwada died at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Three people died at Everest Hospital in Baneshwor
They have been identified as Binod Maharjan, 30, of Lalitpur Metropolis-7, Dali Narayan Tamang,42, of Kavre-Timal and Yogendra Neupane,23,of Duwakot, Bhaktapur.
