Bhairahawa. Normal life has been affected due to heavy rainfall in Bhairahawa and its surrounding areas since last night. The incessant rains have inundated various parts of the city, making it difficult for the locals to commute.
Rainfall has occurred especially in Khajahana of Ward No. 3, Bhaiya Tole of Ward No. 6 and Bank Road area of Bhairahawa. Both pedestrians and vehicles are facing problems as the roads are flooded. Water has also entered the houses and shops of the locals.
The premises of Bhim Hospital, one of the most important hospitals in the city, have also been inundated. This has made it difficult for patients and their relatives to travel to and from the hospital. Similarly, water has also accumulated in the entrance area and parking area of Gautam Buddha International Airport. This has caused some inconvenience to the passengers.
Road transport has also been affected due to heavy rainfall. Ajay Gupta, a local of Bhairahawa, said that the canals in Bhairahawa have been narrowed in the name of new ones and they have not been cleaned on time.
