Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) has annulled all programmes related to the by-election to the member of the House of Representatives from Rupandehi constituency-3.

The by-election was cancelled after President Ram Chandra Poudel announced the date for the dissolution of the House of Representatives and election of new representatives on March 4, said EC Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.

According to Clause 68 of the Election of the Members of the House of Representatives Act, 2074 BS, the date for the by-election in Rupandehi constituency-3 was fixed on November 3.
