Two Indian nationals arrested for drug smuggling

Kathmandu. Police have arrested two Indian nationals in possession of illicit drugs from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today.

The arrested have been identified as Pandarparambil Khani Faesal, 39, and Aathhum Kunnel Rahim Shehim, 26, according to Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire.

“They were arrested with 10.915 kilograms of marijuana from the tunnel gate of the arrival area of Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon,” he said. ’

They arrived in Kathmandu from Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight and were arrested after the drugs were recovered from their luggage, police said. Spokesperson Ghimire said that both of them have been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau for necessary investigation and action.
