Kathmandu. The Constitution Day and National Day, 2082 is being celebrated this year by organizing various programs as in the past. President Ram Chandra Poudel will be the chief guest of the National Army Pavilion, Tundikhel at 8.30 am today.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki is scheduled to address the function. However, in the present special political situation, processions including processions on the occasion of the Day have been postponed.

The Constitution of Nepal was promulgated by the Constituent Assembly on September 19, 2015 as a result of the long and long struggle of the Nepalese people. The Constituent Assembly formed after the second Constituent Assembly election in the country had promulgated the ‘Constitution of Nepal, 2072’ after a long debate.

The then President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav had announced the promulgation of the new constitution on the night of September 19, 2015 from the International Convention Centre, the venue of the Constituent Assembly meeting in New Baneshwor.
