Kathmandu. A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Account Officer of Dungeshwor Rural Municipality of Dailekh district Tanka Bahadur Karki with bribe of one lakh rupees.

A joint team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Tangal and Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Surkhet took Karki under control acting on a tip-off that he had demanded Rs one lakh as bribe from service seekers in course of paying the final bill of road upgradation and construction of Dungeshwor rural municipality, according to CIAA Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel.

According to him, he was arrested from Mangalgadi Chowk of Birendranagar Municipality-9 in Surkhet after he had taken bribe of Rs 100,000 from the service recipients. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) said further investigation into the matter is underway.
