Prithvi Highway reopens after Tuin River landslide cleared

. CHITWAN — One-way traffic on the Prithvi Highway has come into operation following the removal of landslide that occurred at Tuin River at Ichhakamana rural municipality in Chitwan since Friday.

Spokesperson of the Department, Prabhat Kumar Jha, said that one-way traffic has been resumed along the Muglin-Narayanghat road section of the Prithvi Highway.TAG_OPEN_div_6 The Department of Roads has cleared the landslide that had occurred in the Tuin River. Thousands of passengers have been stranded along the Narayanghat-Muglin road section for over 40 hours due to obstruction of the highway.

According to the Department, the Prithvi Highway, Araniko Highway, Thori-Bhandara-Malekhu, Galchhi-Trishuli-Betrawati-Mailung-Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi, Rani-Biratnagar-Itahari-Dharan-Dhankuta-Hile, Leghuwaghat-Tumlingtar-Khandbari-Num-Kimathanka (Koshi Highway) have been completely obstructed.TAG_OPEN_div_4 However, 168 highways have come into operation in a one-way manner, according to the Department.
