Kathmandu. The stock market closed lower on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the NEPSE index decreased by 2.35 points to close at 2,652 points on Thursday. Similarly, shares worth Rs 3.26 billion were traded today.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of four sub-groups have increased while the indices of other seven sub-groups have fallen. The index of the trading sub-group increased the most by 1.36 percent on the day. Banking, investment and mutual fund sub-group indices increased slightly. The hotel and tourism sub-group index decreased the most by 1.49 percent on the day.
Shares of Himstar Energy Company Ltd traded at the positive circuit level today. The company’s share price was last traded at Rs 63.693 on the day. Nepal Reinsurance Company topped the list on the basis of turnover on the day. The company’s shares worth Rs 30.90 crore were traded on the day.
