Kathmandu. Flight services at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been affected due to incessant rainfall and low visibility in the Kathmandu Valley. According to the airport administration, the airport was closed for about two hours today due to bad weather and bad in-route weather.
Due to the very low visibility, both landing and take-off procedures have become impossible. Passengers have been inconvenienced due to the suspension of domestic and international flights. According to airport sources, the flights will be operated only after the weather returns to normalcy.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted that rainfall and visibility will remain weak for some more time. Passengers are requested to be present at the airport only as per the official notice.
Similarly, the lifting in the mountainous districts has also been canceled, according to the development site.
