Damauli. A road has caved in at Sankhar of Abukhaireni rural municipality-4 in Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway. One-way traffic has come into operation along the Abukhaireni-Muglin road section after the road caved in due to incessant rainfall since Saturday morning.

Tek Prasad Subedi, Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Abukhaireni, said that the road caved in at around 4:00 pm. According to him, arrangements have been made for one-way movement of vehicles in a safe manner by deploying police personnel on both sides. However, he urged people not to travel at night as there is a risk in this area.

The wall was raised from the Marsyangdi River by cutting the wall after the road collapsed at the same place on June 11, 2022. According to the police, the road collapsed again at the same place.
