Kathmandu. Vehicular movement has been completely disrupted on 18 highways across the country due to floods and landslides.
According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, the Koshi Highway at Bhotkhola rural municipality-4 and the Koshi highway at Makalu rural municipality-3 in Sankhuwasabha district have been completely obstructed.
Similarly, the Siddhicharan Highway linking Manebhanjyang rural municipality-6 and 7 of Okhaldhunga and the Siddhicharan highway at Katari municipality-14 in Udayapur district have been completely obstructed, shared Central Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General Binod Ghimire.
Similarly, the Mid-Hill Highway at Dhikure of Pakhribas municipality-5 of Dhankuta, the Koshi Highway at Sangurigadhi rural municipality-1 of Dhankuta district, Rajduwali of Ilam municipality-9 and the Mechi Highway have been obstructed in different places.
Similarly, the road has been completely obstructed at four places including the Nepal China Miteri Bridge at Gosainkunda rural municipality-2 and Syaphrubesi of the same rural municipality-5 in Rasuwa district. The Araniko Highway at Bhotekoshi rural municipality-4, Charkilo in Sindhupalchowk and the BP Highway at Mamtikhola of Roshi rural municipality-11 in Kavrepalanchowk have been completely obstructed.
Floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall have completely obstructed the Kanti Highway at Ghattekhola of Bakaiya rural municipality-11, the Kanti Highway at Bhimphedi rural municipality-8 of Makwanpur and the Kulekhani Dakshinkali road section at Indrasarovar rural municipality-3 of Makwanpur district.
Similarly, the Mid-Hill Highway at Nagsthan of Fikkal rural municipality-6 in Sindhuli and the BP Highway at Nepalthok of Sunkoshi rural municipality-1 in Sindhuli have also been obstructed.
