Transmission line of 6 industries for non-payment of dedicated and trunk line dues disconnected

Kathmandu. During load shedding, the industries that have not paid the premium duty by consuming electricity from dedicated and trunk lines have started cutting the line.

The power supply to Jagdamba Steel, Reliance Spinning Mills, Shivam Cement, Ghorahi Cement, Arghakhanchi Cement Industries and Triveni Spinning Mills was cut off this morning.

Jagdamba has Rs 1.60 billion, Reliance Rs 75.37 crore, Shivam Rs 77.88 crore, Ghorahi Rs 50.85 crore, Arghakhanchi Rs 44.84 crore and Triveni Rs 321.10 million.

This arrears are for additional charges for the use of dedicated and trunk lines from January 2015 to April 2075.

Manoj Silwal, managing director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), said that the government has installed counters in such a way that the industries can pay dues even during the Tihar holidays. He said that if the first installment is paid by taking the facility of installment, the cut line will be connected in any time.
