Kathmandu. A corruption case has been filed against the account officer arrested with the bribe money. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against senior account officer of Dungeshwor Rural Municipality in Dailekh Tanka Bahadur Karki at the Special Court.

According to the CIAA, the charge sheet was filed against Karki after it was found that he had taken bribe from the service seeker in course of paying the final bill of road upgradation and construction of Dungeshwor Rural Municipality.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel, a complaint has been filed against Karki for demanding Rs 100,000 as bribe from service recipients while paying road bills after the completion of road construction. He said that the charge sheet was filed against Karki after it was found that he had taken bribe on the basis of the complaint.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Karki had taken Rs 100,000 in bribe from service seekers in the pretext of facilitating the final bill of the rural municipality upgradation project through Jersey Chowk Deuli Jadi in ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Dungeshwor Rural Municipality.

Some time ago, Karki was arrested by the CIAA team for taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the service recipients.
