Kathmandu. Director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dr. Dr. Krishna Srinivasan, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank He paid a courtesy call on Bishwanath Poudel. Srinivasan and Governor Poudel paid a courtesy call on Governor Poudel at the central office of Nepal Rastra Bank in Baluwatar on Monday.
According to a source at the NRB, matters relating to Nepal’s current economic situation, monetary policy, revenue collection, foreign exchange reserve, banking sector reforms, climate change related financial risks and the technical support Nepal has been getting from the IMF were discussed.
Governor Dr. On the occasion, Poudel apprised Director Srinivasan about the steps taken by Nepal to maintain economic stability and strengthen good governance. Srinivasan expressed confidence that the IMF would continue to support Nepal’s economic recovery. Earlier, Dr. The Srinivasan-led IMF team also held discussions with top officials of the finance ministry.
