Case filed against 4 for corruption by approving map of unfinished house

. Kanchanpur: A case of corruption has been filed against four persons in Beldandi Rural Municipality of Kanchanpur district on the charge of taking loan of Rs 33.75 lakh. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case at the Special Court against then Chief Administrative Officer Padam Raj Joshi, Sub-Engineer Jaya Kunwar, Assistant Sub-Engineer Tej Bahadur Sunar and land owner Shanti Nath.

According to the commission, Shanti Nath had prepared a map through Seti Consultancy and got it documented in the rural municipality by making false facts that a concrete house was built even though there was no building in plot number 357 of Beldandi-2 in 400 square meters.TAG_OPEN_div_8 After the then administrative officer Joshi and other engineers certified the map, she took a loan of more than Rs 33 lakh from Laxmi Sunrise Bank in two phases.

The CIAA has concluded that the loan was taken out in collusion by preparing a fake map after a team deputed from the Commission and Survey Office, Belauri, inspected the site and reported that there were no structures on the land.TAG_OPEN_div_6
