Sebon forms committee to probe Reliance’s IPO

. The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has formed a committee to investigate the issue of shares of Reliance Spinning Mills using book building method.

The board has formed a committee to submit a report within 15 days after conducting an impartial investigation into the activities related to the expungement of Reliance Spinning Mills from the share book building process.TAG_OPEN_div_18

As per the decision of the meeting held on Friday morning, a committee has been formed under the coordination of board member Binod Kumar Bhattarai.TAG_OPEN_div_16 The members of the committee are Ananda Raj Sharma Wagle and Pitambar Bhandari.

Committee has been formed to invite other persons as per the need.

The Financial Sector Management and Corporation Coordination Division under the Ministry had written to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to investigate into the company’s share issuance process.TAG_OPEN_div_12

} The Ministry of Finance has written a letter to various media outlets regarding the issue of share issue and to investigate and take necessary action. The company had issued shares to the general public at a high price without paying Rs 75 crore as dues to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
