Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) issues debentures worth Rs 25 billion for the second time

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued debentures worth Rs 25 billion for the second time.

The central bank of Nepal (NRB) has issued ‘Nepal Rastra Bank Debenture 2083 ‘B’. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued debentures worth Rs 25 billion with a maturity period of one year.

The interest on the debentures will be paid half-yearly. The interest rate of the bonds will be determined through bidding. The interested investors can apply for the debentures up to a minimum of Rs 5 crore and a maximum of Rs 5 crore.

The principal will be paid on January 1, 2008. Only commercial banks, development banks and finance companies can apply for the debentures.

The banks and financial institutions investing in the debentures can use it as collateral in Nepal Rastra Bank and other banks and financial institutions.
