Kathmandu. Bagmati Province is the leading state in terms of total deposit and loan of banks and financial institutions.

According to the Economic Activity Study Annual Report of the last fiscal year 2081/82 made public by Nepal Rastra Bank, the share of deposits mobilized by banks and financial institutions as of Ashad 2082 BS was 65.8 percent and 59.5 percent of the total loan disbursement.

In the last fiscal year 2081/82, banks and financial institutions collected deposits worth Rs 7295.69 billion while Bagmati Province collected deposits worth Rs 4.79 trillion.

Similarly, Rs 553.03 billion has been collected from Koshi, Rs 407.73 billion from Madhes Province, Rs 612.29 billion from Gandaki, Rs 91.9 billion from Karnali and Rs 173.83 billion from Sudurpaschim Province.

Similarly, Bagmati Province has disbursed loan amounting to Rs 3323.31 billion against the total loan disbursement of Rs 5.586 trillion till mid-July 2018. Koshi Province has disbursed Rs 613.38 billion, Madhes Province Rs 495.86 billion, Gandaki Province Rs 356.92 billion, Lumbini Province Rs 577.27 billion, Karnali Province Rs 62.12 billion and Sudurpaschim Province Rs 157.40 billion.
